Abstract

|
There has been a long termed dispute of correlation betwe-ans the thyroid function and skin. disaeses.
However no definite agreement has been reached. Authers intended to determine correlations between the thyroid function and several dermatoses with I131 and basal metabolic rate on 28 dermatologic cases of amditted military personel. (Alopecia areata 8, Psoriasis vulgaris 6, Ichthyosis vulgaris 14)
The result turned to be as follow: only one case of the ichthyosis vulgaris among 28 cases showed slight hyperactivity and others were noted to be normal.
